From Fluid Dynamics
to Every Drop
Bulfro Monitech Pvt Ltd
A simulation engineer, an innovator and a water sustainability advocate, using technology to measure every drop and build a water-secure India.
Where it starts
For nearly three decades I have studied how fluids move — through car engines, aircraft fuel systems, air conditioners and pumps. Somewhere along the way I realised that the fluid that matters most to my country is the one we measure the least: water.
This is the short story of how a simulation engineer ended up building tools to count every drop.
"I have always been most comfortable in a swimming pool and in fluid equations — long before water became my life's work."
Education
A strong foundation in mechanical engineering and fluid sciences.

Why water, and why India
India carries nearly 18% of the world's people on about 4% of its freshwater. NITI Aayog's Composite Water Management Index (2018) estimated that around 600 million Indians face high to extreme water stress. Groundwater supplies close to 90% of our irrigation and 85% of rural drinking water, yet most of it is pumped without anyone knowing how much is left.
The beginning of Bulfro
In May 2017 I co-founded Bulfro Monitech in Pune, working alongside Deepa Pagnis, our Director and CFO. We were incubated at SINE, IIT Bombay, and recognised as a DIPP-registered startup.
What we build at Bulfro AquaESG
Turning field data into decisions for a more water-secure tomorrow.
Trusted by leading organisations
Organisations such as Ingersoll Rand, Sandvik, Amul, Asian Paints, Cipla and Danfoss rely on these
systems.
My belief is simple: water that is measured gets managed, and water that is managed lasts longer.
An open invitation
I still think like a simulation engineer: find the variable that matters, measure it honestly, then improve it. For India, that variable is water.
If you run a plant, a campus, a city or a farm and want to understand your water better, I would genuinely like to talk.
